Types of College Loans
The Alabama College Loan Program offers low-cost federal student loans to
Alabama residents no matter where they attend college and to students from
other states who are attending Alabama colleges and universities.
The following educational loans are available to students and their parents:
Graduate PLUS Loans - A federally guaranteed loan for graduate and professional students, which requires a credit check.
Parent PLUS Loans -A federally guaranteed loan for parents of undergraduate students, which requires a credit check.
